Standing For Racial Injustice

After Matt Dumba's moving speech on Saturday night, I have seen nothing but hatred towards this sensitive issue. There are a handful of minorities in the NHL and they all have their own stories about how they got to the NHL. I had to say what I have to say because I'm sick and tired of seeing all the negative comments and posts about it. These guys are NHL players first. Doesn't matter their skin color or where they come from. This is the equivalent of me making fun of Jordan Kawaguchi of the UND Fighting Hawks. He is of Asian descent and typically Asian-Canadians/Americans don't play hockey. He is a damn good player who has improved during his years there. I don't make fun of his race at all. He is a person first, hockey player second. I'm glad Matt Dumba stood up for what he believes in. I'm just happy sports are back on.
