RIP Kobe Bryant

The last couple days have been hard, not only for me, but with the entire sports world. We lost an icon, a legend. Kobe Bryant was just an assassin who was just as great as Michael Jordan. What makes this story worse was the fact that his daughter was on the helicopter with him when it crashed. She reinvigorated his love of basketball. I know fans didn’t know him personally, but it just hurt as much.

His death has affected me because he was the star of my childhood. He wore my favorite number (8) when he began his career. His death makes me think about my own life. Death can happen when you least expect it.
