Gotta Love March

The Madness is here. Along with others, we are so elated that March Madness is back after a one-year hiatus due to COVID. It has not disappointed. No big guys like Duke and Kentucky in there is making this year's brackets more interesting. Upsets galore, Gonzaga being top dog (no pun intended), and just shear madness. Oral Roberts being the second 15 seed to advance to the Sweet Sixteen led by studs in Max Abmas (pronounced ACE-mus) and Kevin Obanor. These two look like they can play all 48 minutes in the NBA and still produce.

I was a little surprised at Loyola beating #1 seed Illinois, not that they beat them, but the way they beat the Illini. They swarmed Ayo and let Kofi Cockburn score. They were ferocious on defense and played through their big man Kuster. My gut was telling me that Virginia was going to lose against Ohio, based on their COVID scare and being eliminated from the ACC tournament. The 11-seeds UCLA and Syracuse really messed up my brackets as well. The upsets that I really didn't expect were North Texas and Abilene Christian.

I can't wait to watch the rest of tournament with Gonzaga, Michigan, and Baylor still strong as well as the mid-majors continuing their runs.
